Alumnus of the Year

Since 1994, a Florida State University hospitality graduate who has made notable contributions to the industry, their organization and our school has been selected annually by the Society of Hosts board and the Dedman School faculty as our Alumnus of the Year. The career and accomplishments of the Alumnus of the Year are celebrated at our annual Honors & Awards Dinner, where the Alumnus of the Year Award is presented.

Criteria for our Alumnus of the Year:

  •     Graduate from the Dedman School of Hospitality
  •     Exceptional career experience and academic accomplishments
  •     Community involvement and recognition in the hospitality industry
  •     Continued involvement with the Dedman School of Hospitality
